About Sandy Wolter

Her passion has always been oil painting.

Sandy Wolter is an artist based in Baguio City, Philippines. She spent most of her childhood in Baguio before studying in the United States for three years in college. When she returned to the Philippines, she completed her degree in Business Administration.

Her passion has always been oil painting. After moving to the US, Sandy studied the fundamentals of oil painting for three months at a local atelier in Texas, where she learned the techniques and materials that became the foundation of her artistic practice. During college, she developed a strong interest in portraiture and realism, using layered oil paints to achieve depth, texture, and lifelike detail.

While realism remains a significant part of her work, Sandy also enjoys exploring Impressionism and abstract art through textured impasto techniques. Her paintings are inspired by imagination, using references as a starting point to create original works that reflect her own ideas, emotions, and artistic vision.

Sandy's love for art began with drawing as a child and gradually evolved into painting with watercolor, acrylic, and ultimately oil. For her, art is a lifelong journey of self-expression, creativity, and continuous learning.
